Afrika Bambaatta will receive Lifetime Achievement Award
Afrika Bambaataa, the Father of Hip Hop Movement and founder of Universal Zulu Nation will be receiving a Lifetime Award at the Global Spin November 17, 2015. Afrika Bambaataa is known for his music Planet Rock,Perfect Beat, creating the 5 Elements of Hip Hop which the 5th Element is Knowledge, creating the Electro Funk which todays artist like T-Pain , Chis Brown, Drake, Lil Wayne uses in their music call Auto-Tunes . Afrika Bambaataa is coined for having the first Bboy crew and the longest Hip Hop Awareness movement in Hip Hop History.
The activist and Icon started an international movement called the Organization, which the names changed throughout the Eras. The organization was the birth from the Street Gang called the Black Spade which a young Bambaataa called on all members for a change and Unity. As Bambaataa and the Organization started to grow in the Bronx and number of members increased in the Tri-State area, the name changed from Almighty Zulu Nation to the Universal Zulu Nation. Afrika Bambaataa traveled around the world performing with some of the Original (MZK) Mighty Zulu Kings who are the Soul Sonic Force (Pow Wow, Mr Biggs, Globe, and Jazzy Jay) and creating chapters oversea and here in the states.
Zulu Members ranges in all walks of life from Race, Religion, Young and Old. Members of the Universal Zulu Nation had expand from the streets to the Music Industry, Professors in Colleges, School Teachers, Social Workers, and Activist and more.
Over a million members and 42 years later our Icon, Mentor, Father, Brother, Uncle, Pops and Leaders will be receiving a Lifetime Award for his Dedication, Consistency, Educating and Creating a Hip Hop Movement and Awareness.
On November 12, 2015 , the Universal Zulu Nation will be 42 years old.
